King Anfar was very pleased with his idea, and he does not like to be corrected.  Or contradicted.  Or advised without him asking for it.  He's angry with Queen Tilia and King Richard over the aluminum crisis to begin with, so he isn't exactly in the mood to listen to their advice, either.  And so the more Queen Tilia tried to explain Alassa's personality, the more convinced the king became that she was a priceless treasure they wanted to dissuade him from taking.
