Believe it or not, I was originally planning to use this strip in the previous semester with Edriss.  I even started this storyline with the intention of leading to it.  But it wound up just not quite fitting her, so I had to pout and drop it.  Happily, I was able to insert a new, random student to resurrect it here!  Yay!  I like this strip.  It is just such a Dron thing to say.  I'll admit to feeling rather sorry for his confused students, but hey, he doesn't have to plan passes or failures, does he?
