As you may recall, Dron and Jorkann used to work together in magical research, and they were the ones who jointly discovered the existence of our world.  Jorkann was just barely king at the time, and he decided for both of them that they ought to keep this discovery secret.  Dron didn't particularly agree, but he respected his friend's decision -- until Jorkann died, of course.  Then Dron felt the fate of their research was entirely his to decide, and he started writing books about it.
