If you remember, Dron liked Corinn lots while he was a student at this school; they got along very well.  Dron got to know Elsseran while she was TAing for him -- she seemed boringly quiet and obedient at first glance, but turned out to be surprisingly clever and devious when he prodded it out of her.  Dron being Dron, he decided to play matchmaker and see how these two would suit each other.  That's how they originally met.  And guess who egged them on every step of the way?
