I like Loretta's parents, too!  They may not always agree with her on everything (such as, say, the necessity of owning swords), but they're very good at being supportive parents otherwise.  Incidentally, one reason Reg's parents were probably so angry at the thought of him marrying Felincia is that they'd assumed for years that he'd get together with his "suitable" friend Loretta, who was both polite and rich.  Alas for their plans, neither Loretta nor Reg would have been interested in this.  :P
