Linnea Introduced: Strip #1,018 Age: Nineteen. Species: Human. Personality: Linnea is extremely rational. She will accept anything with sufficient proof, and will reject anything that lacks it. She is majoring in philosophy because she's fascinated in different theories about how life works, whether or not those match her personal preferences. Other: Linnea and Eric have a very "buddy" sort of relationship. They are boyfriend and girlfriend, but their relationship grew out of a friendship, and it still moves at a slow, ambling pace. Though they are both happy with this, it bugs Linnea sometimes that she can't explain quite why she's so fond of him. |

He's also always been a fantasy geek, so finding out magic really existed was a fabulous dream come true for him. He's easily enthusiastic, and he loves Daria's crazy machines, but he's much more capable of focusing than she is. Other: For all that Linnea loves rationality, life starts feeling flat and stale when she can predict just about everything. Eric is smart and capable of logical arguments, yet he also adds a hint of unpredictability to everything. |
 Heather Introduced: Strip #1,596 Age: Eighteen. Species: Human. Personality: Heather's a shallow ditz. There's no malice in her -- she can actually be quite affectionate and sweet, especially around people who like her. But she really doesn't understand why anyone would rather study than party. Other: Heather and Ashley were in the same popular crowd in high school, so when chance tossed them together as roommates in college, they were both excited. Sadly, their other roommates wound up being people they did not get. |
 Ashley Introduced: Strip #1,596 Age: Eighteen. Species: Human. Personality: Ashley has a malicious streak, but she's also a bit more intelligent than Heather, and she has a highly developed sense of justice. While she can be mean, she won't put up with even enemies being treated -- as she sees it -- unfairly. Other: Among her circle of friends, Ashley is usually the sharpest-tongued and quite often the most sarcastic and nastiest. She's usually also the first to stick up for a friend in danger, however. She won't put up with anyone attacking her friends. |
