Usually Joralan is extremely tolerant -- or at least turns a deaf ear -- around his wife's mood swings.  There are certain things that could make anyone's patience snap, however, and this is definitely one of them.  This is probably the first time he's ever yelled at her -- his usual technique is to ignore her and pretend she doesn't exist when she's getting on his nerves.  But finding out your long-lost brother is alive and nobody will tell you where he is could snap your patience very sharply.
