Queen Tilia barely notices the scandal of Elsseran's species, in the focus of how mad she is about Corinn running away.  Needless to say, that was not something she would consider a brilliantly responsible thing!  Had she known about Elsseran when he first met her, of course she would have informed him a romantic relationship was a terrible idea, but right now, she's far more concerned with bigger things -- such as where he's been for the last few decades.
