X really likes explosives.  X really likes explosives, even when she isn't there to see them.  So it makes sense that she'd make her minefield to activate when "Zangaria" showed up, then start counting down in case "Zangaria" did not leave.  Of course, the idea of a typical digital counter didn't strike me as X's style, so the timer is . . . slightly less conventional than this.  As I said, X and Daria are a dangerous combination!  And right now, Aylia has no objections to this.
