I rather suspect that Loretta and Lionel are extremely spoiled, actually. (Wry grin.) I mean, their parents aren't permissive -- I don't think anybody knows how often Lionel gets grounded -- but they have given their children loads of advantages that they really take take for granted. Naturally, Lionel's ecstatic at the thought of trying to prove magic to his parents, who have never given much stock to his tall tales previously -- though, given his track record, can you blame them for this?
