Naturally, the first assumption Victoria jumps to is the most logical: X must have used permanent transformation magic to make that her natural shape.  But this is rather inconceivable to her, since she didn't even get Lullela's penchant for shapeshifting to look human -- to her mind, there's nothing more perfect than the natural fairy shape.  Then Mordran raises an even more interesting point: he's noticed something everyone else has missed, because he's been trained to notice it.
