Dron's reasoning is quite sound, and he has a good point about people who have been students for awhile: they should be able to think for themselves by that point, yet many still hang on their teachers' words and simply parrot back what they've been encouraged to memorize.  Dron despises that style of teaching, and so developed his own to directly combat all assumptions that go with it.  Dron is destructive in the way he teaches, focusing on breaking "wrong" far more than building "right."
