Daria is not the world's most responsible baby-sitter.  (Laugh.)  Still, she loves her nephew, and she's very good at being a fun baby-sitter, so at least Gavin has a great time whenever they're together.  Most dragon parents don't need to worry about baby-sitting, as a rule; they tend to only have one young child at a time, and one parent stays home with the child while the other hunts, visits friends, etc.  Because dragon society is slow and patient, few have "careers" they treat more seriously than hobbies.
