Now, Alassa doesn't angst: she just throws enormous hissy-fits about everything.  And, I'll confess, it's really fun to get her angry.  (Sly grin.)  The reason Alassa is dressed up, in this strip, is that the banquet is starting in less than an hour, and she acted on the assumption that she was invited -- even though nobody had told her she was -- so she dressed up.  She is, of course, now enraged to discover that she wasn't invited, since she assumes she ought to be the center of everything.  Even other people's parties.
